Background

After a number of years as a successful trainer Duncan embarked on a parallel career as an actor and now appears regularly on the London Stage.  His dual skill-set particularly qualifies Duncan for training in communication skills of all types.  His alertness to the intricacies of human behaviour come to bear in training Conflict Resolution, Leadership and Team building.  Duncan’s combined knowledge of the business world and the professional stage make him a highly sought after trainer in Presentation Skills and in Individual Coaching, and of course he brings an actors instinct for realism in role play/simulation  work.

Duncan has lived and worked in many countries, with extended periods in France, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkmenistan and the USA.  He has developed a keen awareness of the immense variety of behaviour across the globe which he brings to bear not only on training Cultural Differences but to all aspects of his training – the basic belief being that understanding ourselves and others is the key success in the workplace

Duncan regularly works with Open Mind Projects in Thailand, both as a voluntary teacher for under-privileged young people from Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, and as a consultant in the field of cross-cultural communication and collaboration.

Duncan writes corporate training materials and scripts for the stage. He regularly translates from Swedish, French and Spanish to English in the fields of business and the arts. High profile publications include books for the National Gallery and The Swedish Museum of Modern art, Plays for Norvik Publications, Plaza online lifestyle magazine, and songs performed by Placido Domingo.
